I try to simulate LDPC in AWGN channel,but i can't get the same BERs as other people report.

why LDPC with rate 1/2 is claimed to be the best error correcting code?

I simulate an LDPC code and i noticed that sometimes the iterative algorithm cannot find a codeword, and it oscillates. Is this behaviour normal for a decoder?

I´m developing a decoding program,using the Min-sum and the Sum-pro algorthm! But all simulation failed for longer codes. I always got words with errors in these simulation. Have you ever experienced this kind of thing in your programs?
